Reverend David Smith, Assemblies of God missionary to Kenya. During their past term of missionary service, Rev. Smith and his wife Rebecca were involved in evangelism, church extension, and youth ministries in Kenya. They participated in the opening of several new evangelistic centers in Mombasa, the second largest city of Kenya. Of his ministry in Kenya, Rev. Smith says, "We are thrilled to see the Mombasa District catch the vision for church growth and expansion. They are purchasing plots, building church buildings and planting churches. It is exciting to be working in partnership with men of vision." The Smith are graduates of Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, and of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. Before their missionary appointment, they served as associate ministers in Dallas, Texas, and Marshall, Missouri. Rev. Smith has also been active in district youth and Teen Challenge ministries. Mrs. Smith spent most of her childhood in Malaysia, where her parents, the Reverend and Mrs. Delmar Guynes, were missionaries.
