Hey this is the lattest news here in Africa!
Greetings from Mombasa!
Recently we have been very busy with meetings and traveling into Ethiopia. We were checking on starting a new work on the Kenya border with the mission task force of the national church and 4 other missionaries. It was an exciting trip and God is moving by his Spirit. A group of 400 people want to join the KAG and has several other churches in the area. There are 14 different tribes located in the border town. Pray for the new KAG national missionary & his family who are going into this area. These are Pentecostals who are willing to give there life for spreading the gospel. In fact one of the new converts from the church went to the panhandle of Kenya to share his new love for Jesus and was knifed to death. We need to be wise as serpents and pray for wisdom.
Beckie, Nick, Kimbra and the kids drove up to Nairobi a few days latter and I joined them. Kent came in from Rwanda & left Michelle and the boys. Kevin & Kent played in the alumni games at RVA and lost all but the Soccer game. All five grandkids had a ball. It was so cold and rainy during those few days. I thought it was going to snow at anytime.
Nick had the hernia operation here in Mombasa yesterday morning and we drove down from Nbo to see him last night. We had a meeting in Nairobi & could not get to the hospital until late in the evening. Nick had to have it done so he and Kimbra can travel to Tanzania for mission meeting & start their new assignment. Please continue to pray for Nick’s recovery. The Nbo Mombasa road was very bad in several areas & it rained on the last part of the trip. It took almost 7 hours.
Thanks again for your prayers,
Blessings,
David & Beckie Smith

David, excellent! Thanks for the update. Jean and I were talking today about the tremendous testimony of your and Beckie's lives, in the ministry of your children. You are loved and appreciated! Be safe, be blessed.
